Trouser Press has been a long time supporter of my music
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008This great site which was started by Trouser Press publisher Ira Robbins is a treasure of knowledge of great rock, punk and pop from the late-70’s through the late-90’s with a few notable exceptions like Big Star, the Velvet Underground and Bob Marley and the Wailers. They do the best job of any large web site of covering the NY scene of the late 70’s and early 80’s, the new wave scene and the edgy side of pop music in general. They have a great forum where music geeks can assemble and exchange ideas and favorite tunes, albums, lists, etc. Trouser Press picked my LP, “The Moberlys” as one of “The #3 Underground LP” of 1980, which really opened a lot of doors for me in NYC when I moved there late that year. This site is a must for any well versed music and record fan.
