Cueburn is a site that exposes great lost gems
Wednesday, October 8th, 2008With a strong nod to power-pop and rootsy rock, but with very little general rules, this site does a grea job of exposing very good hard to find music. I love their selections and tastes and was very happy to see them recognize the 1984 EP by Jim Basnight and the Moberlys. This release was never marketed well by the folks that pressed it in Seattle and all 4 of the tracks were included on the Moberlys “Sexteen” release on the French Lolita label in 1985. Luckily I retained all of the copies that didn’t sell, but for the most part I left them in a closet, as the era of CD’s was ushered in. Now that vinyl is making a comeback I am going to be selling them off, as I have all of my other vinyl titles in the past. Let me know if you want one and I’ll sell it cheap while I’ve got enough. It doesn’t hurt that I’m also in the process of moving and need to create space. I’ll give a great deal if you want to buy a quantity of them.
