If you like great power-pop and pop rock, you’ve got to check out Bill’s Music Forum. They recently did two nice review pieces on our stuff, including this one on “Seattle-NY-LA”. They also did a nice one on the Rockinghams “Makin’ Bacon”. I really like Bill’s tastes. He’s all over the map, which is something that fit’s most great artists. Why just do one thing over and over, especially from album to album? Great work Bill.

I was looking at this the other day and it was very nice of Andy to do such a full and detailed interview with me back in late July. Seattle Powerpop Blog is world class and deserves note as a great source of info on a scene that is not known for powerpop, but really should have been and like the NW sound of the 60’s may someday. Similar articles on some of my favorite Seattle artists like the Heats, Braden Blake, Green Pajamas, Harvey Danger, Kim Warnick, Presidents of the USA, Steve Turner, The Cowboys and The Sonics show excellent understanding of the local history. They’ve also done well with features on bands from out of town like my personal faves the Flamin’ Groovies, The Modernettes, Iggy Pop, Material Issue, The Replacements and other interesting and challenging topics like the Paul Lynde Fan Club. Very good site.

Nice review of “Sexteen”, with mention of my friend Jimmy Garcia with whom I spent a lot of great times with in LA. Kick Out The Jams is a cool rock and roll web site that covers a lot of great bands and tunes. Nice feature on the new book “Shake Some Action” by my Orange County bud John Borack who gave me and the Moberlys a couple of great mentions in it. John also did some very nice reviews of “Pop Top” and a cassette comp that I put out in the early 90’s called “Retro”. He wrote a number of complimentay reviews of my stuff for a few publications including Goldmine back in the day.
